The first children to begin their education at Westclyst Community Primary School now have 1:1 access to Microsoft Surface devices. The school has set up face recognition, so that the youngsters can log on easily.
All the children have Surface pens, which they use to write on documents or pages within the devices. This means that their teachers are able to follow their progress throughout the year, as well as collecting evidence of their work.
In addition, the camera function on the Surfaces is being used to record the children retelling stories, and allows them to complete educational games on the Purple Mash resource.
